'Gie Yersel A Shake' (Rattle & Roll)

Upcoming Events

Girvan Youth Trust held their second Tea Dance on Sunday 16th March 2014 at Sacred Heart Church Hall in Girvan.
This month The George Rodger Band played music at our tea dance with music from the 40s to modern times. We also had music played by the young people on the mixing decks when the band wasn’t playing. This time we decided to hand out request slips to people who came along to the tea dance. It was a good idea because it lets people pick the music they like and it was popular on the day........

Staff and young people brought each other up to date about their respective groups have done and are looking to do.
Trips – So far the trips group have organised a trip to Pirate Pete’s Laser Quest.......

Lifeguard Training

Friday 14th March sees 12 young people start their Lifeguard Training Course. The course runs for 3 weekends with the young people also receiving First Aid at Work Training. On successful completion of the course the young people can look forward to employment at the Boating Pond this year. The qualification lasts for 2 years which means completion of the course could possibly lead to employment next year as well.
